Comme il est précisé ci-dessus, ce sont les véritables battements de coeur de Michael Jackson que l’on entend dans la chanson, ces battements ont été enregistré par le Dr Eric Chevlen.
Une attention bien particulière est à observer sur les remixs de Smooth Criminal car ils ont tous été réalisés par Bruce Swedien l’ingénieur du son de Michael Jackson depuis toujours.
Ce qui fait qu’en comparaison avec les remixs d’aujourd’hui ce sont carrément des versions différentes de l’originale mais tout en gardant le même esprit.
Smooth Criminal reste une des chansons phares du film « Moonwalker » de Michael Jackson avec un clip-vidéo sublime, à noter hellas que la version du clip n’est jamais sorti en cd.
Le 45 tours portait la mention suivante: MICHAEL JACKSON SMOOTH CRIMINAL As Featured In The Movie « Moonwalker ».
Un Maxi 45 Tours Smooth Criminal special limited edition advent calender était sorti en 1988 avec 25 petites fenêtres montrant en les ouvrant différentes photos du film Moonwalker, exactement comme un calendrier de l’avent. Il contenait 3 remixs: Extended Dance Mix, Dance Mix-Dub version et A Capella. Sachez pour la petite histoire que l’on pouvait donc ouvrir une fenètre tous les jours du mois de décembre 1988 et ce jusqu’au 25 Décembre inclus et pourquoi ? tout simplement parce que le 26/12/88 était la date de sortie du film Moonwalker dans les salles européennes.
